Responsibilities
- Prototype and productionize vision navigation and targeting features from simulation to flight.
- Develop measurement models from various detections while maintaining estimator integrity.
- Stabilize GNSS to VIO handover to prevent estimator resets.
- Build and optimize real-time software on Linux/embedded systems.
- Own calibration and time synchronization across multiple sensors.
- Create evaluation pipelines for performance metrics like drift and track quality.
- Implement fault detection for adverse conditions.
- Integrate global aids for long-term navigation consistency.
Requirements
- Proficient in modern C++ on Linux and Python for tooling and analysis.
- Experience with SLAM/state estimation techniques and error-state EKF/UKF.
- Familiarity with vision systems, including VIO/SLAM and deep learning frameworks.
- Knowledge of sensor integration, including IMU, GNSS, and multi-camera systems.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver research to production and conduct field testing.
- 5 years of experience in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
