Base Salary
$184k - $257k/yr
Responsibilities
- Establish global network engineering best practices and design scalable network solutions.
- Build and maintain automation and tools for product introductions, network deployment, release engineering, and operations.
- Design solutions that scale across diverse network hardware platforms.
- Enhance continuous integration, validation, testing infrastructure, release, and configuration-management automation.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and sourcing teams to develop new networking solutions.
- Investigate complex technical issues involving automation, hardware failures, and network operations.
- Implement scalable automated workflows and process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
- Identify cross-team roadblocks, drive projects, and influence partner teams toward shared goals.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and use production learnings to improve current and future network products.
- Mentor peers and contribute to team growth and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of relevant experience developing scalable and reliable systems and/or networks.
- Experience coding in higher-level languages such as Python, C++, Go, or Rust.
- Experience learning and working with software, frameworks, and APIs.
- Experience configuring and maintaining network devices and NMS systems or comparable infrastructure applications.
- Experience developing and understanding network-device configurations for at least one vendor such as Juniper, Cisco, Arista, or Brocade.
- Preferred: experience designing physical network infrastructure for AI or GPU cluster fabrics, ring interconnects, or backbone aggregation topologies.
- Preferred: ongoing AI skill development, including prompt/context engineering and agent orchestration.
- Preferred: experience implementing responsible and ethical AI practices.
- Preferred: experience with centralized or hybrid routing design and large-scale topology synthesis and verification frameworks.
- Preferred: experience integrating AI tools or AI-assisted workflows into network design, testing, or operations.
- Preferred: experience qualifying network hardware platforms and optics through structured NPI frameworks.
