Responsibilities
- Develop low-level software solutions and features for autonomous vehicle sensor suites.
- Implement and debug sensor drivers and communication protocols including TCP, UDP, and RTS.
- Manage hardware/software integration, vehicle parametrization, and in-vehicle testing and debugging.
- Contribute to software architecture and implementation for robust autonomous systems.
- Define and design high-level sensor requirements with cross-functional teams.
- Refine software development processes and document development, implementation, and integration activities.
- Assist electrical and mechanical engineers with installing and integrating electronic equipment in vehicles.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Automotive, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional Embedded Linux software development experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Shell scripting.
- Strong understanding of microprocessors, microcontrollers, complex electrical system architectures, networking, and communication systems.
- Knowledge of LiDAR, Radar, Camera, and GNSS sensors, with ideally experience in PTP/GPTP, latency, and timestamps.
- Familiarity with ROS, Docker, and DevContainers.
- Practical field-testing experience with complex robotics or autonomous platforms.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 or safe-design approaches.
- Business-level English; German is an advantage.
- Enthusiasm for autonomous driving technology and interest in current industry developments.
