Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure code quality, testability, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.
- Translate research into product impact and improve generative AI quality.
- Develop and evaluate new ML models using large-scale user log data.
- Build infrastructure for large-scale data processing and perform statistical data analysis to derive actionable insights.
- Apply ML models to improve quality across various core Google products.
- Design and implement solutions in specialized ML areas while leveraging ML infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience with large language models, natural language processing, human-computer interaction, or computer vision.
- At least 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure, including model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, or debugging.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: Applied ML skills involving LLMs and NLP, plus experience with TensorFlow, Python, and building or launching ML models.
- Preferred: Strong analytical abilities for data analysis.
