Base Salary
$202k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect low-latency backend services and joint optimization systems across demand levers including TDF, TSF, HVAs, and EUP.
- Unify disparate investment pipelines into a combined management system.
- Own the software lifecycle from design documentation through production rollout, debugging, and operations.
- Collaborate with Product, Applied Science, and Operations to translate marketplace problems into robust system designs.
- Lead organization-wide engineering projects across inception, stakeholder engagement, implementation, and operations.
- Oversee incident management processes and direct on-call rotations.
- Build scalable distributed systems and represent the organization to internal and external technical communities.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience in backend software engineering, data engineering, or a related technical role.
- Expertise writing high-quality code for strategically important, cross-organizational problems.
- Experience leading engineering projects through all lifecycle stages and driving alignment across multiple functions.
- Proven ability to oversee incident management and on-call operations.
- Ability to make sound engineering and business tradeoffs with long-term organizational implications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience building high-performance distributed systems at 100M+ user scale.
- Preferred expertise with Flink, Spark, Apache Pinot, Druid, Hadoop ecosystem tools, SQL, and data warehousing.
