Base Salary

$120k - $261k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate large-scale, secure, highly available Kubernetes infrastructure for Microsoft Foundry.
  • Create, manage, optimize, and secure Kubernetes clusters, including CPU/GPU support and control/data plane communications.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code solutions using YAML, Bicep, and Helm.
  • Build monitoring, observability, alerting, CI/CD automation, and production operations capabilities.
  • Configure and maintain endpoint security, log collection, vulnerability scanning, compliance tooling, and security hardening.
  • Investigate live-site issues, deploy fixes, participate in on-call rotation, and improve service reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership through architecture decisions, code and design reviews, and cross-team collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Kubernetes cluster creation, management, optimization, platform design, and implementation at scale.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes security and compliance, networking, reliability engineering, distributed systems, and production operations.
  • Experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; preferred experience includes 5+ years with C#, Python, Go, Rust, Java, C, or C++.
  • Experience with infrastructure/configuration as code using YAML, Bicep, and Helm.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and applicable customer or government security screening requirements.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong architecture, design, collaboration, and service-operations skills.

Benefits

  • The typical U.S. base pay range is $119,800-$234,700 per year, with different ranges for certain San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area locations.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
  • The position is open for a minimum of five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
