Base Salary
$148k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop wireless capabilities that deliver longer range, faster connectivity, and secure data transmission.
- Work on a communication protocol for mesh drone communication.
- Design and implement reliable, efficient drone communication solutions in an OFDMA-based mesh network.
- Design, develop, and optimize wireless software and firmware across WLAN, LTE, and 5G.
- Implement and validate system-level algorithms against performance KPIs in congested and dynamic network conditions.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of WLAN and/or cellular protocols, including OFDMA, mesh networking, and scheduled network operations.
- Proficiency in firmware development and a strong foundation in wireless communication systems.
- Proficiency in C++, C, and Python.
- Strong software engineering skills covering design, implementation, and performance tuning of wireless features.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues across multiple layers, including hardware.
- Ability to collaborate with RF, hardware, and systems teams.
- Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days is strongly encouraged and required for certain positions.
