Base Salary

$104k - $153k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop large-scale platform components supporting core infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native services.
  • Own platform systems end-to-end across infrastructure as code, middleware, service orchestration, and monitoring.
  • Lead infrastructure modules, CI/CD integrations, system automation, high-availability, and fault-tolerance improvements.
  • Conduct code and design reviews, approve junior engineers’ deliverables, and mentor Level I and II platform engineers.
  • Reverse engineer and refactor platform code and automation to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Plan and execute unit and integration testing strategies and review test coverage and results.
  • Debug deployment failures, environmental drift, automation bugs, and other platform-level issues.
  • Lead resolution of moderate to complex production incidents and provide Level III support.
  • Create and maintain technical design documents, operational procedures, incident approaches, and resolution playbooks.
  • Collaborate with development, application, security, business, and technical teams to gather requirements and drive improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of professional experience in software analysis, development, engineering, and support in large corporate environments.
  • More than 2 years of experience mentoring and leading junior software engineers.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Python, Spark, Java, SQL, and shell scripting.
  • At least 5 years of experience building, deploying, and maintaining resources on AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, DevOps tools, monitoring, alerting, n-tier architecture, and cloud computing practices.
  • Experience with data engineering workflows and tools including Glue, Spark, Python, Jupyter Notebook, and AWS Lambda.
  • Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Linux, Windows, SaaS applications, application administration, and configuration.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, ServiceNow, API development and integration, and Autosys job scheduling.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, SDLC, testing, documentation, project management, requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, and enterprise-wide project delivery.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Ability to train end users or team members and design innovative business solutions.
