Base Salary

$160k - $230k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build AWS and Azure cloud networks across IL-4, IL-5, and IL-6+ classification levels.
  • Design and implement multi-cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms, classification domains, and program requirements.
  • Design VPCs, VNets, transit gateways, peering configurations, routing, DNS, and boundary protection controls.
  • Implement identity and access management frameworks, service account architectures, and least-privilege access models.
  • Support cloud Provisional Authorization processes, inherited control models, RMF activities, and ATO achievement and maintenance.
  • Document cloud architectures, configurations, security controls, architecture diagrams, SSPs, and compliance artifacts.
  • Identify and remediate findings from STIGs, vulnerability scans, and SCA activities.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, ICD 503, JSIG, and other applicable classified-environment frameworks.
  • Partner with industrial security, information systems security, and engineering teams to translate security requirements into infrastructure solutions.
  • Advocate for emerging cloud security capabilities across program environments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on cloud engineering or infrastructure experience, including architecting and operating AWS and Azure environments at scale.
  • Active Secret clearance required at start, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI; an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is preferred.
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level III certification such as CASP+, CISSP, CISA, or equivalent is required.
  • Experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure at IL-4, IL-5, and/or IL-6+ impact levels.
  • Deep experience with AWS and Azure network architecture, including VPCs, VNets, transit gateways, routing, DNS, and boundary protection.
  • Experience managing multi-cloud environments across platforms and classification domains and supporting RMF, ATO, NIST 800-53, and applicable NSS frameworks.
  • Experience producing architecture diagrams, SSPs, and other government compliance artifacts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include government cloud certifications, experience supporting multiple DoD or IC programs, Cross Domain Solutions, data guards, zero trust architectures, FedRAMP High, CMMC, and DoD IL-5/IL-6 authorizations.
