Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and microservices.
- Develop backend services, REST APIs, background workers, scheduled jobs, batch solutions, and event-driven applications.
- Build and consume APIs using JSON, OpenAPI, Swagger, Postman, and enterprise API standards.
- Develop and operate applications using Google Cloud Platform services including Cloud Run, Cloud Run Jobs, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Storage, Cloud Pub/Sub, Secret Manager, IAM, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring.
- Build containerized applications and support CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud configuration, and deployment automation.
- Implement asynchronous processing, messaging, retry handling, dead-letter processing, application security, identity management, and secrets management.
- Develop and maintain relational and NoSQL database solutions and perform database, API, messaging, and cloud workload performance tuning.
- Create unit, integration, API, performance, and end-to-end automated tests.
- Monitor applications, investigate production issues, analyze logs and metrics, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Support cloud migration, application modernization, platform upgrades, deployment cutovers, production releases, go-live activities, and hypercare.
- Collaborate with architects, technical leads, engineers, business analysts, security teams, testing teams, and production-support teams across global regions.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, API specifications, operational runbooks, Agile ceremonies, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Five or more years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, application integration, or full-stack development.
- Three or more years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing and supporting Java-based microservices in enterprise environments.
- Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or a comparable public-cloud platform, including relevant GCP services.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, PCF, or similar container platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity, Tekton, Maven, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Experience with application security, OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, TLS/SSL, secrets, and identity-management concepts.
- Experience with unit, integration, API, performance, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience supporting production applications with reliability, scalability, monitoring, and performance requirements.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams and strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes Java reactive programming, Spring WebFlux, Apache Kafka, Apigee, Terraform, AWS, Helm, service meshes, observability tools, DevSecOps tools, deployment automation, high-volume enterprise applications, and cloud modernization.
