Responsibilities
- Support customers with complex MongoDB architecture, performance, recovery, security, and deployment challenges.
- Identify root causes and provide practical solutions for large-scale, data-intensive environments.
- Advise customers on best practices for operating MongoDB at scale.
- Represent customer needs to product management and development teams.
- Contribute to internal software development projects for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics.
- Investigate and resolve technical problems in real time while collaborating with team members.
Requirements
- Strong technical experience in one or more of systems administration, distributed systems, network administration, database architecture and administration, application architecture, data architecture and design, or performance tuning and benchmarking.
- Operations experience administering large-scale production environments, including hardware, operating systems, networks, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud-based resources, is preferred.
- Experience with one or more of Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, Go, PHP, or Perl is a bonus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a genuine desire to help people.
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, sound judgment, adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to learn new technical skills quickly.
