Responsibilities
- Convert legacy mainframe batch jobs (JCL) into PowerShell scripts.
- Analyze and interpret JCL, GDG, and PDS structures for Azure replication.
- Automate daily, weekly, and monthly batch cycles using Azure-native tools.
- Deploy and manage Azure resources to support batch workloads.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of batch processes.
- Implement secure handling of credentials using Azure Key Vault.
- Improve batch processing performance through parallelism and concurrency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather batch processing requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- 3+ years of experience working with Azure services and infrastructure.
- Experience with Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.
- Knowledge of Azure Key Vault and security best practices.
- Experience with C#/.NET and SQL Server.
- Understanding of threading, concurrency, and performance optimization.
- Experience with migration projects, preferably from mainframe to cloud.
