Responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot connectivity issues across vehicle programs and test environments.
- Develop and maintain automation tools and test infrastructure for software integration testing, deployment, configuration management, and system monitoring.
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement scalability and efficiency improvements.
- Respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with software development teams to incorporate reliability and scalability into software design and implementation.
- Drive continuous-improvement initiatives and serve as a technical resource and mentor to other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related software subject area, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of embedded systems development, vehicle diagnostics, Python, Autobot, networking, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency with vehicle data communication systems including CAN and Ethernet.
- Experience with module development, product development, systems engineering, systems integration, or validation.
- Experience developing requirements, features, detailed designs, and production releases.
- Technical leadership, independent judgment, issue root-cause analysis, corrective-action tracking, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Preferred: Master of Science degree in an engineering field; GM production software development process and issue-tracking experience; familiarity with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, cellular, CAN, V2X simulators, and test devices; and telematics, infotainment, or module connectivity experience.
