Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, extensible, and secure software systems.
- Own the team’s architectural direction and guide technology choices based on scalability, maintainability, performance, security, and business goals.
- Collaborate with related engineering teams to define interfaces, resolve dependencies, and deliver multi-engineer projects.
- Drive engineering best practices, including code quality, alarms, telemetry, runbooks, and use of generative artificial intelligence tools.
- Mentor and coach engineers through system design guidance, code reviews, and career development support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
