Base Salary
$73k - $174k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support throughout the embedded software lifecycle.
- Develop embedded software features for unmanned robotic vehicles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects in development and deployed systems.
- Collaborate with systems, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams on system integration.
- Develop maintainable C/C++ code using design patterns, SOLID principles, and reusable architectures.
- Perform unit, integration, and simulation-based testing and support fielded systems.
- Travel up to 15% as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience developing embedded real-time software in C/C++ for embedded processors.
- Experience with large, multithreaded embedded applications running on an RTOS.
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and their interaction with embedded software.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Experience with refactoring, testing, version control, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Preferred: a master’s degree, Agile development experience, device-driver or embedded flash-programming experience, knowledge of unmanned vehicle systems or control systems, ROS or ROS 2 experience, communication protocols including TCP, UDP, CAN, SPI, and RS-232, and integration of GPS, LiDAR, radar, or ultrasonic sensors.
