Responsibilities
- Lead execution and delivery for large-scale or multiple software development efforts.
- Provide architectural guidance, design reviews, and code reviews for Agile, Plan of Record, and Next Gen Architecture projects.
- Develop, promote, and communicate reusable design patterns and software engineering best practices.
- Evaluate technical, business, schedule, performance, scalability, and resource-usage risks and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
- Guide teams on system design, delivery planning, dependencies, blockers, trade-offs, and long-term technology strategies.
- Mentor and coach software development engineers and influence teams across the organization.
- Drive adoption and reporting of design reviews, code reviews, CI/CD, and design-pattern metrics.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical program managers, engineering managers, design review boards, and external customers when needed.
- Support compliance, risk management, escalation, and transparent reporting of control issues.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of relevant application development experience or senior-level enterprise architecture experience as a subject matter expert.
- Bachelor’s or university degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Expertise in technology patterns and techniques across internal and external cloud platforms, including AWS, PCF, and Akamai.
- Advanced knowledge of algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and networking, with the ability to lead architecture and broader technology adoption.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, OpenShift, public cloud, AngularJS, Spring, MongoDB, and Oracle.
- Strong experience with Eureka, Hystrix, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge and experience with generative AI tools and technologies.
- Working knowledge of source-control tools including Bitbucket, RTC, and SVN.
- Experience with automation and testing tools including JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Appium, and Cucumber.
- Ability to lead resources, operate independently, mentor engineers, assess risks, and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
