Base Salary
$109k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain internal full-stack web applications and services for engineering teams.
- Modernize and re-architect legacy tools with scalable, maintainable, performant, usable, and reliable technologies.
- Use ObjectScript, OAuth2, Python, Node.js, SQL, and containerized environments to deliver platform solutions.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Implement observability solutions with Prometheus and Grafana to support reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and platform teams to identify pain points and deliver solutions.
- Write maintainable code, participate in code reviews and documentation, and improve development practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide interns or small project teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development, platform engineering, or DevOps roles.
- Strong programming skills in at least one major language, such as Python, JavaScript/Node.js, ObjectScript, or Go.
- Proficiency in both frontend and backend development.
- Solid SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with GitLab, Perforce, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
- Practical experience implementing secure authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth2.
- Ability to learn new technologies, take initiative, and contribute in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including mentoring experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field.
- Preferred experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Atlassian tools including JIRA and Confluence, software testing tools, automation frameworks, InterSystems IRIS, and ObjectScript.
