Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and modernize mainframe banking applications, libraries, and microservices.
- Perform application lifecycle activities including planning, requirements analysis, implementation, and operation.
- Analyze faults, troubleshoot incidents, and help ensure smooth operation of products.
- Develop secure and fault-tolerant software for large-scale banking data and performance requirements.
- Create functional and technical specifications and related software and process documentation.
- Collaborate with decentralized programmers, infrastructure teams, George, payment transactions, and data-warehouse stakeholders.
- Work in agile teams, take responsibility for defined tasks, and participate in occasional night or weekend duties.
Requirements
- Several years of professional work experience, preferably in the banking industry.
- Proficiency in Natural/Adabas and experience working in a mainframe environment.
- Experience with COBOL/DB2, ADABAS/Natural, SQL, CICS, ISPF, and JCL on IBM Mainframe z/OS.
- Knowledge of SQL databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of software development and the complete application lifecycle.
- Ability to develop secure and fault-tolerant software.
- Strong teamwork, communication, analytical, self-motivation, reliability, resilience, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong German and English communication skills.
- Preferred knowledge of infrastructure, servers, networks, operating systems, operations architecture, application monitoring, microservices, AI-supported coding and modernization, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, and banking projects.
