Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end system features spanning user interfaces and backend services.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, collaborate with and manage the team, and make team decisions.
- Contribute to key technical decisions across multiple teams and provide solutions to complex problems.
- Mentor junior team members and coordinate cross-functional efforts to improve delivery.
- Develop and maintain Kafka producers, consumers, stream-processing logic, event pipelines, retries, dead-letter processing, backpressure, and traceability.
- Use approved AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and integration testing, with human review and validation.
- Evaluate message ordering, delivery semantics, idempotency, schema compatibility, throughput, response quality, latency, cost, prompt-injection resistance, and sensitive-data handling.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years working with Apache Kafka.
- Proficiency in Apache Kafka and experience with distributed messaging systems and event-driven architecture.
- Strong knowledge of backend and frontend development frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, deployment strategies, performance troubleshooting, optimization, agile development, and continuous integration.
- Hands-on experience with approved coding assistants, context-rich prompting, generated-code review, and automated test validation.
- Ability to build Kafka event pipelines supporting AI inference, embedding updates, and retrieval-augmented generation data ingestion.
- Knowledge of schema evolution, retries, dead-letter processing, backpressure, traceability, and AI service quality and security evaluation.
- Knowledge of capital markets and investment management, including securities, trading, portfolio management, investment operations, and related financial services processes.
- 15 years of full-time education.
