Responsibilities

  • Design, write, validate, and maintain clinical programming software using Oracle RDC, Oracle Inform, Medidata Rave, SAS, and supporting tools.
  • Develop and maintain specifications, coding, validation documentation, CRF and database builds, coding configurations, edit checks, import and export processing, listings, and custom reports.
  • Lead clinical programming activities for assigned studies, including serving as lead programmer at Quick Start Camps and supporting up to eight concurrent studies.
  • Coordinate with project teams, clients, peers, lead programmers, project managers, and requestors to clarify specifications and deliverables.
  • Monitor project scope, budgets, target dates, delivery, and resourcing needs, escalating potential issues and change orders to management.
  • Review study-level deliverables for accuracy and support sponsor and in-progress audits.
  • Provide leadership, training, guidance, and support to department members.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of clinical programming and clinical data management through literature, training, and professional development.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant Medidata Rave EDC build experience is mandatory.
  • Experience with CRF build or screen build and edit-check programming is required.
  • Good knowledge of GCP and good clinical practices is required.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Experience with migration and custom functions is preferred.
  • Experience working in a matrix-structured environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus email and voicemail tools, is required.
  • Experience with programming languages such as PL/SQL, SAS, C#, or VB is preferred.
  • Ability to travel as necessary, up to 25%, is required.
