Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of cloud storage platforms supporting CloudNext and data center exit objectives.
  • Define enterprise storage patterns across NetApp, Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, Nasuni, Amazon EFS, Amazon EBS, Amazon S3, and backup services.
  • Engineer secure, scalable, highly available, and resilient storage solutions for enterprise workloads.
  • Own standards for storage performance, capacity, availability, recoverability, data protection, lifecycle management, and cost efficiency.
  • Design automation for provisioning, configuration, policy enforcement, monitoring, and operational support using infrastructure-as-code and Git-based workflows.
  • Create reusable modules, reference architectures, guardrails, and self-service patterns.
  • Lead workload discovery, storage assessment, migration planning, data movement, cutover, validation, and decommissioning activities.
  • Embed monitoring, logging, alerting, capacity management, and performance analytics into cloud storage platforms.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex storage incidents and performance issues and lead root-cause analysis and remediation.
  • Partner with application and platform teams to select storage services based on workload requirements, resilience, security, and cost.
  • Assess dependencies across networking, identity and access, encryption, backup, operational tooling, and regulatory controls.
  • Mentor and upskill storage engineers and influence technology roadmaps and investment decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience designing, engineering, and operating enterprise storage or cloud infrastructure with senior-level impact.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with NetApp and Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, plus strong knowledge of Nasuni and AWS native storage services.
  • Expertise in storage architecture, file and block services, data protection, replication, backup and recovery, performance engineering, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience designing secure, highly available, resilient, and large-scale enterprise storage solutions.
  • Strong infrastructure automation experience with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, scripting, APIs, and Git-based delivery workflows.
  • Working knowledge of AWS networking, identity and access management, encryption, monitoring, logging, and security controls.
  • Proven ability to lead complex storage migrations and resolve performance, availability, and integration challenges.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing teams without formal line management.
  • Relevant AWS, NetApp, or storage certifications are preferred.
  • Experience in financial services, asset management, investment banking, or fintech is preferred.
