Senior Software Engineer, Identity Security

Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and operate identity and access management services on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Develop controls governing how AI agents authenticate, request access, and operate within Slack systems.
- Build automation and APIs that reduce manual access-management work and organizational risk.
- Collaborate with engineers across Identity, Security, and Infrastructure on shared services and APIs.
- Participate in code reviews and design reviews while taking increasing ownership of projects and systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including building and operating production backend systems.
- Proficiency in a high-level programming language such as Python or Go.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating services in AWS.
- Working knowledge of distributed systems concepts, APIs, service architecture, and data stores.
- Understanding of security fundamentals and secure software development practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document technical information clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Interest in or exposure to authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management, or access governance is preferred.
- Experience deploying and managing workloads in Kubernetes is preferred.
