Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive, accessible, intuitive healthcare user interfaces and reusable component-based front-end components.
- Build data-intensive visualizations and Clinical Decision Support workflows, including CDS cards, notifications, actionable insights, and patient-context-aware experiences.
- Integrate front-end applications with backend services and clinical data sources while presenting transparent, usable, and traceable AI-generated summaries.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and UI tests; participate in code reviews and support application quality and usability standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical and clinical teams on planning, demonstrations, user acceptance testing, releases, documentation, and design specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
- Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, responsive web design, and a modern framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Experience implementing WCAG and ARIA accessibility standards and developing complex, data-intensive user interfaces.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in Agile, multidisciplinary software development teams.
- U.S. citizenship, successful completion of a background check, and ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance when required.
- Preferred experience includes federal healthcare or Veterans Affairs programs, clinical workflows, FHIR, C-CDA, CDS Hooks, SMART on FHIR, healthcare data visualization, human-centered design, AWS or Azure, AI-generated content, or AI-assisted development tools.
