Base Salary
$65k - $75k/yr
Responsibilities
- Investigate, reproduce, diagnose, and resolve technical escalation tickets reported by customers and internal teams.
- Communicate issue context, expectations, and resolution status with support, product, customer success, and occasional customers.
- Identify self-service engineering fixes, write the code, open pull requests, and follow fixes through review and deployment.
- Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate triage and draft or review candidate code solutions while applying independent judgment.
- Perform root-cause analysis and improve code, documentation, and runbooks to reduce recurring escalations.
- Follow secure development practices, including least-privilege access, secrets management, and careful handling of candidate and customer data.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of professional software development experience; internships, co-ops, and substantial personal or academic projects count.
- Working proficiency in Go; Python is a plus.
- Familiarity with relational databases and the ability to read and write SQL, with PostgreSQL preferred.
- Strong debugging skills, including working with logs, reproducing issues, and tracing problems across systems.
- Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort using AI tools such as Claude and critically reviewing AI-generated analysis and code.
- Ownership of tickets through resolution and proficiency with Unix shell scripting.
