Responsibilities
- Analyze release notes, code changes, and client customizations to assess upgrade impacts and determine appropriate upgrade paths.
- Upgrade Duck Creek Billing client applications and use Duck Creek tools to generate differential analyses.
- Debug custom and base code, identify workarounds, and resolve issues for implementation teams and customers.
- Support product upgrade and certification processes, including troubleshooting integrations and compatibility issues.
- Develop automation opportunities and utilities to reduce manual effort in upgrades and certification activities.
- Triage customer issues, present solutions, communicate risks to technical and project leadership, and collaborate with development, quality assurance, and support teams.
- Review, mentor, and share technical knowledge with team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science strongly preferred.
- At least 3 years of related industry experience in system development and implementation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in analysis, development, and triage.
- Implementation experience and strong product knowledge in Duck Creek Billing.
- Understanding of billing forms, billing plans, payment plans, Direct Bill, Agency Bill, EFT/payment processing, and billing transactions.
- Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, SQL Server, XML/XSLT, REST/SOAP APIs, and Duck Creek extensibility or configuration.
- Experience developing SQL queries and stored procedures, troubleshooting databases, and optimizing performance.
- Insurance-domain knowledge and experience with P&C insurance software applications or their software development life cycles.
- Experience troubleshooting integrations between Duck Creek Billing and external systems such as policy systems, payment gateways, general ledger systems, and document-generation systems.
- Knowledge of TFS, GitHub, and Git workflows is preferred.
- Experience with Duck Creek Billing upgrades or certifications and assessing customizations, integrations, and compatibility is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
