Base Salary
$97k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, estimates, IT planning, risk assessment, application development, and model development.
- Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs to meet business and user needs.
- Monitor development through analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and operational support.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Develop security measures and evaluate system design and functionality after implementation.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups; install and support application systems.
- Define operating standards and processes and ensure required procedures are followed.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to stakeholders and team members.
- Coach and mentor mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as needed.
- Assess risk, maintain compliance, and escalate and report control issues transparently.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in application development or systems analysis.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience with Java functional programming, Spring Boot, Java reactive programming, and Spring WebFlux.
- Experience with microservices design and development, TDD, and BDD-style development.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one area of application development.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects, with demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication, collaboration, cross-team coordination, adaptability, and continuous-learning skills.
- Team mentoring and coaching experience.
- Cloud technology certification is preferred, and Java certification is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of load balancing, caching, database optimization, parallel processing, and concurrency.
