Responsibilities
- Develop production-quality features for telemetry pipelines, dashboards, and self-service tooling with strong test coverage.
- Build and maintain Python backend APIs and integrations supporting platform services.
- Contribute to IAM permission workflows and AWS cloud automation using security best practices.
- Maintain operational data pipelines and reliability reporting.
- Instrument services and tune monitoring alerts and dashboards.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for platform services with support from senior engineers.
- Develop expertise through technical pairing, code review, and mentorship.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong Python development skills focused on maintainable, tested code.
- Foundational experience with AWS and Unix/Linux environments.
- Exposure to observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerization concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent training or work experience.
- Preferred exposure to React or TypeScript, Spark or Airflow data pipelines, machine learning concepts, AWS IAM policies, cloud security, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication and an eagerness to learn platform engineering practices.
