Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, maintain, and deploy first-party connectors and integrations across Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
  • Own connector features from functional specification and design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Contribute to open-source connectors, SDKs, and integrations for Fabric Eventhouse.
  • Partner with Data Management and Engine teams to triage complex issues, identify root causes, and drive fixes to completion.
  • Work with partner teams and customers on technical scenarios, proof-of-concept implementations, gaps, feedback, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams and Fabric SDK and developer experience teams.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to design reviews, code quality, reliability, test coverage, and engineering best practices.
  • Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity, code quality, test coverage, and reliability.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Solid knowledge of at least two of C#, Java, NodeJS, Python, and Golang.
  • Experience in big data engineering and building big data and algorithm-centric cloud systems.
  • Experience with open-source environments such as Kafka, Logstash, and Spark.
  • Good familiarity with open-source technologies and practices.
  • Experience working closely with data mining experts and big data researchers.
  • Experience working closely with customers on technical proof-of-concept implementations.
  • Proven design and management skills, strong quality and customer focus, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • BTech, MTech, MSc, MA, or a degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
  • Preferred experience with Spark and Kafka.
