Responsibilities
- Design and scale backend services, APIs, and infrastructure for Known’s consumer product.
- Build real-time systems for conversational AI, voice interactions, and agentic workflows.
- Architect data pipelines and storage systems for matchmaking, personalization, and machine learning.
- Develop low-latency services connecting AI agents to real-world actions and third-party integrations.
- Own systems end to end through architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
- Improve system performance, reliability, security, and scalability as the product grows.
Requirements
- Require 4–6 years of experience designing, building, and deploying production backend systems.
- Require strong proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Go, TypeScript, or Java.
- Require experience designing APIs, distributed systems, and scalable service architectures.
- Require experience with relational databases, caching, asynchronous processing, and data infrastructure.
- Require experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment, including technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP.
- Seek strong product intuition, a bias toward shipping and iteration, and a high degree of ownership.
