Responsibilities
- Lead cloud software application design, development, and integration tasks.
- Develop cloud-based applications and configure deployment environments for cloud and non-cloud integration.
- Implement solutions aligned with program requirements and cloud technology roadmaps.
- Collaborate with development teams and customers on designs, estimates, risks, assumptions, and limitations.
- Build and continuously improve automated build, test, and deployment environments.
- Provide operational support for applications and tools to meet availability and service-level requirements.
- Design, develop, and deploy microservices in Kubernetes-based environments such as EKS and OpenShift.
- Develop scalable, highly available enterprise systems using containerized workloads, databases, and object storage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and at least two years of related experience, or eight years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Preferred experience includes at least five years as a cloud software developer and five years with object-oriented programming using Java, C++, or Python.
- Preferred experience includes three years of Java software development using web services, JMS, and application servers.
- Preferred experience includes JavaScript development with NodeJS or ReactJS and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Git, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, and automated delivery practices is preferred.
- Experience with JavaScript, JQuery, XML, REST, SOAP, Python, and Bash is preferred.
- Ability to write well-designed, testable, efficient code and coach team members on those practices.
- Experience verifying that designs comply with specifications.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA public trust clearance.
