Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction for the Athena clearing house.
- Define and drive the transition to a sustainable, production-grade product stack.
- Partner with staff engineers to establish domain ownership and technical standards.
- Lead the design of systems that process unstructured vulnerability reports.
- Identify and retire technical debt from the prototyping phase.
- Serve as a thought partner on build-vs-buy decisions and capacity planning.
Requirements
- Proven track record of setting technical direction for complex distributed systems.
- Deep fluency in Go and experience with GCP and Terraform.
- Ability to work with messy, unstructured data.
- Experience transitioning teams from prototypes to maintainable systems.
- Experience with systems handling multiple customer types and access levels.
- Comfort operating across the full backend stack with minimal guidance.
- Background in security-adjacent domains is a plus.
