Base Salary

$171k - $252k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and long-term technical roadmap for globally scaled Phone Numbers and KYC platforms.
  • Transition legacy systems into modern distributed microservices architecture.
  • Use GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude, and internal LLMs to accelerate coding, prototyping, testing, and software delivery.
  • Drive technical excellence and make architectural decisions balancing innovation, reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Build developer-first public APIs and workflows in collaboration with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Mentor senior and staff engineers and promote effective review and orchestration of AI-generated logic.
  • Identify technical risks, lead complex production incidents, and drive long-term remediation.
  • Communicate technical strategy through design documents, RFCs, and presentations.
  • Influence technical strategy across multiple teams and organizational boundaries without direct authority.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience designing and developing highly available, high-scale, secure, mission-critical cloud-native enterprise distributed systems.
  • Expert proficiency in Java or Go and deep knowledge of AWS ecosystems, including Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, and Kafka.
  • Deep experience with cloud-native infrastructure, microservices patterns, and five-nines resilient systems.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools and LLMs for architectural brainstorming, debugging, code synthesis, and accelerated software delivery.
  • Track record of building and maintaining high-volume public-facing APIs with strong developer experience.
  • Experience with high-throughput data processing and storage solutions such as SQL/NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, or Spark.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD paradigms.
  • Ability to influence technical strategy across teams without direct authority.
  • Telecommunications experience with telephony protocols, local number porting, or global regulatory compliance frameworks is desired.
  • Experience building internal developer platforms or integrating AI agents into developer platforms or automated operations workflows is desired.
