Responsibilities

  • Define business requirements and end-to-end technical solutions with stakeholders, technology teams, and agile project managers.
  • Design, develop, enhance, modify, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise software applications and internal-facing solutions.
  • Build modern web applications with Angular and backend services and enterprise applications with Java.
  • Develop, integrate, and support APIs and system integrations.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA teams, developers, business partners, and internal user groups to deliver scalable, maintainable, high-quality solutions.
  • Support automated builds, testing, deployment processes, and production applications.
  • Provide technical insight to inform, guide, challenge, and support technical decisions.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Economics, or Mathematics, or equivalent working experience.
  • At least 2 years of software development experience, preferably in the financial services, mutual fund, or investment industry.
  • Experience with Angular 19 or later for modern web application development.
  • Experience with Java for backend services and enterprise application development.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, testing, deployment processes, and version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, analytical ability, debugging skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Preferred experience with RESTful API design and integration, Progress 4GL/RDBMS development, PostgreSQL and SQL, stored procedures, and Boomi.
  • Preferred knowledge of investment, fund administration, trading, or wealth-management systems.
  • Preferred experience using AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or ChatGPT.
