Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable software for Nium’s core platforms and business logic.
- Design and implement backend features and fixes under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and testable code using Java and relevant backend technologies.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, peer reviews, pair programming, and agile development practices.
- Contribute to unit and integration testing and the reliability of the codebase.
- Identify software or system issues and help develop practical solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional team members.
- Communicate technical details clearly and continue developing technical skills.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of experience in backend or full-stack software development.
- Strong foundation in software engineering principles and design patterns.
- Proficiency in Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs.
- Basic familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, MySQL, and Kafka.
- Comfort using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with unit testing and a focus on producing reliable software.
- Strong collaboration, communication, curiosity, and self-motivation.
