Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data lake pipelines using Apache Spark, Scala, and SQL.
- Build scalable data processing solutions for large data volumes.
- Orchestrate batch workflows and dependencies using Control-M and Airflow.
- Implement data ingestion, transformation, validation, and publication processes for Market Risk use cases.
- Analyze and optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of Spark-based workloads.
- Analyze technical and functional requirements, identify gaps, and propose solutions.
- Contribute to delivery planning and collaborate with Agile squads, functional teams, and production support teams.
- Support production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and improve operational processes.
- Apply software engineering and data development best practices to produce robust, maintainable, production-ready solutions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience in Big Data, data lakes, or cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Scala, and SQL for large-scale data processing.
- Understanding of data lake architecture, data quality controls, data lineage, and production-grade data pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders and adapt proactively to technical challenges.
- English proficiency at C1 level or equivalent professional fluency.
- Spanish is a plus.
- Experience with Control-M, Airflow, Databricks, Azure, AWS, YARN, cloud-based compute environments, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, or ServiceNow is highly valued.
- Knowledge of banking production environments, operational monitoring, incident management, and Market Risk processes such as P&L, valuations, risk metrics, and regulatory reporting data flows is preferred.
