Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality, consistency, performance, and maintainability of Android code, primarily written in Kotlin.
- Review code, identify technical issues, and propose architectural and implementation improvements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Android developers and provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring.
- Organize internal training sessions on Android development best practices.
- Receive, prioritize, and allocate development requests based on skills, workload, and business priorities.
- Track requests, maintain delivery timelines, and facilitate communication with Product, Design, Backend, and other project teams.
- Stay current with Android developments and best practices.
- Technically validate developments before production release.
Requirements
- At least four years of Android development experience, or significant experience in a technically demanding environment with strong operational impact.
- Strong command of Kotlin and Android development best practices.
- Practical mastery of Clean Architecture, MVVM, and software design principles.
- Ability to model complex business domains and design simple, scalable, and maintainable architectures.
- Ability to evaluate problems before coding, identify appropriate abstraction levels, and make sound technical trade-offs.
- Comfort working with demanding users and real production constraints.
- Ability to understand, challenge, and translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
- Strong object-oriented modeling and software design experience is preferred.
- Experience evolving existing architecture without unnecessary complexity is preferred.
- Experience mentoring or supporting other developers is preferred.
- Knowledge of Scrum and Kanban is preferred.
