Base Salary
$142k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Android media playback features that integrate with Disney media services and back-end systems.
- Collaborate with peer API-service and front-end teams on library and API design.
- Research, develop, integrate, and test streaming media playback experiences.
- Participate in project estimation and resource planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple platforms.
- Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable code for enhancements, user-facing features, and defect fixes.
- Collaborate effectively within a small development team and across the broader engineering organization, while also working independently.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of industry experience using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
- Proficiency with reactive programming and dependency injection.
- Knowledge of MVI, MVVM, or equivalent architectural patterns.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including early-stage development, maintenance, and end of life.
- Understanding of object-oriented and reactive programming paradigms.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks and continuous integration systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
