Responsibilities
- Develop and implement test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and compliance with quality standards.
- Create and execute automated UI and API test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
- Perform UI automation with Selenium and/or Playwright and API automation with Karate.
- Integrate automated testing into Jenkins pipelines and support CI/CD test execution.
- Analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to acceptance criteria.
- Perform defect root-cause analysis and work with developers to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in code reviews and promote code quality, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to shared automation frameworks and define or improve quality engineering standards across teams.
- Use AI-assisted testing tools to improve automation efficiency, test coverage, and quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and related teams while supporting risk, controls, governance, and delivery objectives.
Requirements
- Strong quality assurance experience with hands-on testing of web and API applications.
- Expertise in UI automation using Selenium and/or Playwright, preferably in a BDD style.
- Hands-on experience with Karate API automation, preferably in a BDD style.
- Experience integrating testing with CI/CD and executing automated tests through Jenkins pipelines.
- Strong understanding of test design techniques, defect lifecycles, and quality engineering best practices.
- Experience with Agile or DevOps delivery models and modern quality engineering practices.
- Experience contributing to shared automation frameworks or defining quality engineering standards across teams.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with Agile software development methodology is valued.
- Experience in the banking industry and related applications is valued.
