Base Salary
$230k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build product experiences, APIs, data integrations, evaluation systems, and reliable harnesses for language-model applications.
- Create agentic harnesses for target assessment, evidence synthesis, and experiment planning.
- Integrate literature, scientific databases, customer data, and internal tools.
- Develop enterprise APIs and structured-output pipelines for customer systems.
- Build trust and transparency features such as source-quality signals, intermediate reasoning, and output inspection tools.
- Create workflow-specific evaluations and quality systems tied to user outcomes.
- Improve extraction, reasoning, and search quality through prompting, system design, and targeted fine-tuning.
- Build research workflows for target assessment, experiment planning, evidence monitoring, alerts, briefs, and living reports.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background with the ability to build end-to-end systems rather than only scripts or notebooks.
- Fluency with language models, including prompting, retrieval, evaluations, failure modes, and when fine-tuning is appropriate.
- Strong product sense and ability to turn ambiguous user problems into concrete products.
- Ability to work across backend, data, and model layers.
- Clear communication with product, design, domain experts, and engineers.
- Ability to use coding assistants effectively and thoughtfully.
- Working knowledge of transformers, tokenizers, Python decorators, and generic types.
