Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate services and infrastructure for SnapLogic’s control plane.
- Own work end to end from system design through production rollout, monitoring, and post-launch operation.
- Improve platform reliability, performance, scalability, and production resilience across services, data layers, and dependencies.
- Investigate production issues and convert fixes into durable improvements through testing, observability, automation, or design changes.
- Perform database work including query and index tuning, schema and access-pattern reviews, sharding and cluster operations, and capacity planning.
- Partner with Platform, SRE, and application teams to support SnapLogic’s zero-downtime SLA.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and peer mentoring.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems.
- Strong programming fundamentals with proficiency in Java or Python and willingness to learn new languages and stacks.
- Experience operating distributed systems in production, including debugging, profiling, capacity planning, and incident response.
- Demonstrated ownership of features from design through production and after launch.
- Strong database knowledge, including query performance, indexing, and schema-design trade-offs for relational or NoSQL databases.
- Strong design, coding, and written communication skills.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: hands-on MongoDB or other NoSQL database operations at scale, including sharding, replica sets, query profiling, and index tuning.
- Preferred: experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD.
- Preferred: familiarity with observability tooling and SRE practices.
