Base Salary
$149k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Terraform and Kubernetes automation for monitoring infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
- Productize and manage the lifecycle of monitoring components including Grafana and custom Terraform providers.
- Deploy and operate the monitoring stack in secure, isolated, and air-gapped environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations, perform root-cause analysis, maintain SLAs, and implement preventative fixes.
- Design platform features and contribute to AI-assisted development practices, including prompts, agents, evaluation harnesses, and guardrails.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in distributed systems, API platforms, infrastructure engineering, observability, or DevOps at scale.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience managing infrastructure in AWS and/or GCP.
- Programming proficiency in languages such as Java or Python.
- Experience managing or extending monitoring tools such as Grafana, messaging systems such as Kafka, Elasticsearch, and caching frameworks.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization security protocols, especially for isolated or restricted network environments.
- Demonstrated daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, including prompting, code evaluation, and integration into infrastructure, testing, and automation workflows.
