Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute manual test scenarios for technical and business-oriented DevOps and platform deliverables.
- Validate application and platform behavior across containerized and virtual machine-based environments.
- Perform end-to-end testing of Kubernetes deployments, Helm charts, configuration changes, upgrades, rollbacks, and release readiness.
- Test APIs, platform services, integrations, messaging, databases, search, logging, monitoring, and operational tooling.
- Validate scaling, resiliency, backup, recovery, failover, and day-two operational workflows.
- Review requirements, design notes, Jira items, and technical documentation to identify test impacts, gaps, risks, and clarifications.
- Create and maintain test cases, test evidence, defect documentation, and release-quality summaries.
- Investigate issues using logs, system behavior, configuration, monitoring dashboards, and collaboration with technical teams.
- Participate in defect triage, root-cause analysis, regression validation, and production-readiness discussions.
- Improve QA practices, test coverage, acceptance criteria, and repeatable validation for DevOps workstreams.
Requirements
- Experience in quality assurance, system testing, technical validation, or platform/application testing.
- Strong manual QA skills covering test analysis, test design, execution, evidence collection, and defect reporting.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into practical test scenarios.
- Hands-on API testing experience.
- Understanding of backend systems, distributed applications, APIs, and microservices-based solutions.
- Hands-on Linux experience and ability to analyze logs or system-level behavior.
- Familiarity with containerized environments, preferably Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with Kafka, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging and event-streaming technologies.
- Exposure to Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or similar search and indexing technologies.
- Experience validating integrations across applications, middleware, infrastructure, and platform services.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex workflows and collaborate with DevOps, development, architecture, and product stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Fintech, banking, payments, regulated enterprise software, payment flows, transaction processing, settlement, or reconciliation experience is advantageous.
- Exposure to Azure cloud environments, monitoring and observability, security validation, API testing tools, automated testing concepts, or test automation frameworks is advantageous.
- Basic scripting experience with Python, Bash, JavaScript, or similar languages is advantageous.
- Experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure-focused organizations is advantageous.
