Base Salary

$117k - $224k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal delivery, architecture, and account teams to define requirements, deliverables, and expectations.
  • Assess existing DevOps processes and recommend improvements tailored to customer needs, tool preferences, and commercial constraints.
  • Design, present, implement, and govern DevOps solutions, deployment orchestration, release processes, and continuous delivery across Salesforce environments.
  • Lead DevOps design sessions and frameworks at the Architect level, or lead setup and execution for small-to-medium projects at the Senior Engineer level.
  • Drive DevOps tool selection, governance, documentation, best practices, and Salesforce project oversight.
  • Support pre-sales discovery, technical deep dives, proof-of-concept development, and client implementations.
  • Use AI developer assistants and modern DevOps ecosystems to accelerate development, CI/CD, release automation, documentation, and deployment while maintaining security, performance, and governance.
  • Travel to client sites as needed, estimated at 50–75% for Architect-level roles.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Salesforce platform experience for Senior DevOps Engineer roles, or 10+ years of CRM experience including at least 8 years on Salesforce for DevOps Architect roles.
  • Expert or strong knowledge of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Experience, Industries/Vlocity, and Data Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of environment management, release management, version control, branching strategies, deployment methodologies, and CI/CD implementation.
  • Experience with Salesforce Metadata API, Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI, Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, sandboxes, Change Sets, and Unlocked and Managed Packages.
  • Experience with CI/CD and version-control tools including Copado, Flosum, Gearset, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, and Azure Repos.
  • Experience building and orchestrating Docker images and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with test automation and quality/security tools including Provar, Copado Robotic Testing, TOSCA, TestNG, Selenium, WebDriver, JUnit, JMeter, ApexUnit, SonarQube, Checkmarx, and PMD.
  • Understanding of performance monitoring with Salesforce Event Monitoring, CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor.
  • Strong client-facing communication, project leadership, prioritization, and ability to lead smaller projects or support Architects on larger programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Salesforce certifications, either active or obtainable upon hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

  • The position offers a base salary range of $117,200–$223,900 annually, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.
