Responsibilities
- Manage multiple microservices and supporting library projects in an event-driven microservices architecture powered by Kafka.
- Own the full lifecycle of savings accounts, rewards campaigns, the investment platform, and taxation systems.
- Build and maintain financial-grade, high-throughput systems that are correct and auditable.
- Integrate services with a broader ecosystem of microservices managed by other teams.
- Work in a continuous delivery environment with test-driven development, pair development, and code review.
Requirements
- Solid backend software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in the Java and Spring Boot ecosystem, including Hibernate.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and REST APIs.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including transactions, concurrency, and large high-traffic tables.
- Experience with continuous delivery and test-driven development, or willingness to learn and adapt.
- Experience with financial systems and observability stacks is preferred.
