Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Build, optimize, and support CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and related tooling.
- Automate operational tasks and improve platform scalability, reliability, performance, and developer productivity.
- Monitor production and non-production environments and maintain logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting solutions.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues, pipeline failures, and infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with distributed engineering, security, compliance, and platform teams.
- Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers on DevOps practices.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience supporting production cloud environments at scale and working in Agile software development organizations.
- Strong AWS experience and hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise.
- Experience managing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tooling.
- Strong Linux systems administration knowledge and scripting proficiency with Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring or observability platforms such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, independent working, and distributed collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include GitHub Actions, Istio or Linkerd, AWS/Kubernetes/cloud certifications, compliance-sensitive environments, and a software engineering or SRE background.
- Ability to commute to the San Mateo office three days per week.
