Base Salary
$150k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight of VLEO satellite technology development for a Government program manager.
- Assess satellite software development, including ground and flight software testing.
- Evaluate state-of-the-art software development practices and applications for novel satellite architectures.
- Support program concepts, technical interchange meetings, design reviews, experimentation, and testing efforts.
- Prepare experiment and test plans and coordinate with performers, government agents, test ranges, and test facilities.
- Author program briefings, technical reports, PowerPoint charts, and memorandums for DARPA and transition partners.
- Attend performer calls, major reviews, transition partner meetings, and internal DARPA team meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in a scientific or technological discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain it.
- Demonstrated experience with satellite software development, including testing ground and flight software.
- Experience assessing software development practices and applications for novel satellite architectures.
- Professionalism, maturity, sound judgment, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Preferred: Master of Science degree in a relevant scientific or technological discipline.
- Preferred: Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access.
- Preferred: Prior experience with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Directorate.
