Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual tests for SCADA applications and digital solutions.
- Build end-to-end test suites covering alarm management, historian modules, industrial communication protocols, REST APIs, web applications, and mobile applications.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous regression testing.
- Create test data, simulation environments, and configurations for realistic SCADA testing.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and user acceptance testing.
- Monitor automated test runs, triage failures, document defects, and track verification through issue-management tools.
- Generate test reports, coverage metrics, defect metrics, quality dashboards, and traceability matrices.
- Participate in automation code reviews and contribute to test strategies, test plans, test cases, and QA documentation.
- Work with control systems and software engineers to understand system architecture, PLC/RTU integrations, and data flows.
- Identify test-coverage gaps, propose automation improvements, support root-cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams on issue resolution.
Requirements
- B.E., B.Tech, M.E., or M.Tech degree.
- 3–7 years of software testing or QA experience.
- Hands-on experience testing SCADA systems and industrial control solutions.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting or programming in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Knowledge of Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, and TestNG; Playwright is preferred.
- Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, API, performance, security, and user acceptance testing.
- Understanding of Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870, IEC 61850, SNMP, and OPC-UA/DA protocols.
- Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline validation, defect lifecycle management, and OWASP security principles.
- Preferred experience with automation framework development, Azure DevOps, Docker, container platforms, and Industrial IoT application testing.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, detail-orientation, and problem-solving skills.
