Responsibilities
- Identify operational, performance, security, and availability constraints and implement continuous-improvement solutions.
- Partner with engineering teams on onboarding, troubleshooting outages, best practices, and service-reliability improvements.
- Support highly available and reliable application services, including participation in 24x7 on-call production support.
- Manage GitLab CI pipelines, Jenkins deployments to AWS, and infrastructure through code while progressing toward continuous deployment.
- Design, build, implement, and support AWS and other cloud platform solutions from design through operation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant technology experience, including at least 3 years working with AWS and services such as EC2, Auto Scaling Groups, S3, and RDS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform and CloudFormation, and configuration tools such as Chef.
- Working knowledge of Git, branching models, merge strategies, and CI/CD engineering practices.
- Working knowledge of PowerShell or PowerShell Core for automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and platform-reliability improvement skills.
- Preferred experience with AWS ECS, EKS, API Gateway, Lambda, Docker, Kubernetes, Windows and Linux administration, Datadog, Splunk, and Application Performance Monitoring.
