Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously enhance legacy enterprise applications.
- Develop and sustain Python applications, including concurrent and multi-process systems.
- Design, debug, and test software components against design specifications using unit and integration testing.
- Work with real-time and event-driven architectures, queues, producer or consumer pipelines, and distributed or microservices systems.
- Use AWS cloud services, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code to operate and modernize applications.
- Apply scientific and geospatial Python libraries to process scientific data.
- Lead design and code reviews and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Advise clients on improving, securing, and modernizing existing systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing and sustaining Python applications, including concurrent or multi-process systems, in an Agile environment.
- 3+ years of experience with real-time or event-driven architectures, queues, producer or consumer pipelines, or distributed or microservices systems.
- Experience with AWS cloud services, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with NumPy, SciPy, pandas, pyproj, or similar scientific and geospatial Python libraries.
- Experience designing, debugging, and testing software components, including unit or integration testing.
- Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines in a DevSecOps environment.
- Ability to lead design and code reviews and collaborate cross-functionally.
- TS/SCI clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Preferred experience includes AWS Batch, ECR, Step Functions, OpenSearch, SQS/SNS, Kinesis, statistical or optimization methods, Flask or another lightweight Python web framework, JavaScript, shell scripting, and build or deployment automation.
