Responsibilities
- Lead a feature team in analyzing requirements, refining stories, designing solutions, implementing features, testing, and supporting software in production.
- Design and evolve component architecture and contribute to department- and bank-wide architectural decisions.
- Develop prototypes and write clean, maintainable, well-tested code across user interfaces, services, and databases.
- Build and maintain automated Continuous Delivery pipelines and help the team release software rapidly with minimal waste.
- Provide on-call third-line production support and ensure software is reliable and easy to support.
- Collaborate with users, analysts, developers, and testers using behavior-driven development techniques.
- Foster team learning, continuous improvement, and responsible use of AI tools.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin with an understanding of object-oriented and functional programming.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Maven, PHP, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
- Practical experience building data engineering solutions.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Continuous Delivery pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience setting up keystores, generating SSL certificates, and working with gateways and Apigee.
- Experience with automated testing and agile practices such as Scrum, Kanban, or XP.
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, Event Sourcing, microservices, and architecture supporting incremental delivery.
- Strong API design experience with GraphQL and REST, plus synchronous and asynchronous inter-service communication.
- Experience with high-performance SQL data access and SQL scripting.
- Experience with Oracle 10G or higher, Liquibase database automation, and PostgreSQL, including data modeling, performance, and low- or zero-downtime schema changes.
- Ability to safely read and evolve an unfamiliar legacy PHP codebase.
- Proven ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying critical judgment to data and AI outputs.
- Hands-on software engineering experience and the ability to lead a feature team.
